Taylor Swift: Storyteller (Museum of Arts and Design)

Taylor Swift: Storyteller is a special exhibition at the Museum of Arts and Design in New York City. Now extended through March 24, 2024, this exclusive gallery features outfits, jewelry, and even instruments from every era of the 12-time GRAMMY Award-winning artist’s ten-album career.

Taylor Swift’s memorable style and distinctive songwriting are often intertwined, and Swifties will be sure to recognize key pieces from her live performances and music videos. Among them are her “Shake It Off” outfits (below), “1989” World Tour ensembles, and even the “Speak Now” sparkle guitar, “RED” tour piano, and “willow” lute.

With much of Taylor Swift’s storytelling & world-building represented in her fashion & design, it’s only fitting that the exhibition play music videos of some of her most popular hits! Sit back & enjoy favorites like “You Need To Calm Down” and “I Can See You (Taylor’s Version)”.

And what would a story be without the powerful words that tell it? Lyrical excerpts from “Tim McGraw” (above) and “All Too Well” adorn the walls of the Taylor Swift: Storyteller exhibition in her own handwriting. Plus there are a few finishing touches all around the museum including a projected “Love, Taylor ♡” on the ground, the painting of Benjamin from the “Lover” music video, and even some whimsical items in the museum gift shop.

This is a must-see gallery for any Taylor Swift fan… There’s no better way to get a closeup look at some of the most iconic looks in music today! Tickets to the Taylor Swift: Storyteller exhibition are timed entry and also allow access to the rest of the Museum of Arts and Design.
