For the first time in New Jersey, over a hundred galleries, museums, studios, and other art venues are participating in the Garden State Art Weekend. Founded by NJ artist Christine Romanell and inspired by Upstate Art Weekend in New York, this one-of-a-kind art experience will become an annual celebration that highlights local creators including students and up & coming artists.

Participating locations for Garden State Art Weekend 2024 included some that don’t typically open to the public. Others were fan favorite spots like Manufacturers Village Artists, Montclair Art Museum, The Newark Museum of Art, Visual Arts Center of New Jersey, Grounds For Sculpture, and the Art Center of Northern New Jersey (above) who had on view the New Milford High School Junior & Senior Art Show, a wonderful mixed media showcase of young NJ artists.
