Banksy Museum NYC

The Banksy Museum has arrived in New York City! Previously on view in Paris, Barcelona, Kraków, and Brussels, the latest exhibition inspired by the enigmatic graffiti artist is located on the 2nd & 3rd floors of 277 Canal Street in SoHo. With over 160 works on display, this new museum is now the world’s largest collection of Banksy artwork, dating as far back as 1999.

Immerse yourself in a unique environmental experience as you navigate through winding hallways that are reminiscent of alleyways which are filled with thoroughly reproduced Banksy murals by anonymous street artists. And because many of Banksy’s creations can no longer be seen or found, this is the perfect opportunity to get an up-close look at iconic pieces such as “The Mild Mild West” (Banksy’s first mural), “The Girl With Balloon” (above), “Love Is In The Air”, “Napalm”, and “Pulp Fiction”.

In addition to the painted elements of the museum are frames & stills of Banksy’s studio work, as well as videos that play alongside the exhibition as you travel through sections highlighting notable locations of his works… countries like France, England, Italy, Palestine, Ukraine, and the United States. There are even areas devoted to recreating the famed Bethlehem Wall (2005) and the Walled Off Hotel (2017).

Walking through the “streets” of the Banksy Museum is such an enthralling experience and, according to the museum’s founder Hazis Vardar, is the best way to take in the scale & emotion of Banksy’s art. You’ll want to see this amazing representation & preservation of Banksy’s legacy & creativity with your own eyes… and maybe you’ll even walk away with a souvenir from the gift shop at the end!

The Banksy Museum is located at 277 Canal Street in New York City and is open daily 10am-8pm. For more information including ticketing and group admission, visit the official website. For additional media, check out our photo album and walk-through video below:
