In any collecting hobby, a “grail” is a nearly unobtainable item that a fan would fantasize about owning, much like the legends of the elusive “Holy Grail” in pop culture & literature. It’s usually a pipe dream, maybe a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity… Now trading card fans can turn those very dreams into reality with a chance to acquire their very own Holy Grail through a one-of-a-kind exhibition & auction!

Sotheby’s & Fanatics Collect have curated 33 unbelievable lots of incredibly rare graded cards (“Holy Grails”)! This showcase of 40+ slabs has been authenticated by today’s top grading companies: PSA, CGC, SGC, and Beckett Grading Services. On view to the public only from September 23-24, 2024, this 2-day collection can be found inside the aptly redecorated Harlem Parish in New York City, complete with sports-themed stained glass windows, a baseball diamond rug, and a levitating stand for the crown jewel:

This 1/1 on-card dual signed Michael Jordan & Julius Erving patch card (above) is graded by Beckett and is expected to approach a $1 million bid during the September 24th auction. Surrounding it are display cases filled with high grade vintage treasures (like a 1948 Jackie Robinson & a 1952 Mickey Mantle), hard-to-find autographed cards (like a game-used patch autograph by Tom Brady & a rainbow set of Kobe Bryant signatures), and even Pokemon cards like graded test prints & a Pikachu Illustrator card signed by Pokemon TCG Creative Director, Takumi Akabane.

Never before has there been a trading card display of this magnitude under one roof! Many collectors consider these cards to be the most coveted grails in the hobby. So if you collect sports cards, non-sports cards, or just want a closer look at some highly sought-after collectibles, hurry in before they go home with the highest bidder!

The “Holy Grails” exhibition by Sotheby’s & Fanatics Collect can be found at the Harlem Parish (258 W 118th St. New York, NY 10026) from September 23-24, 2024.
