New Yorker Hotel Hidden Tesla Exhibit

Located in the Lower Lobby of the iconic New Yorker Hotel is a hidden History Exhibit that features Serbian-American inventor Nikola Tesla. Tucked away by the hotel’s Business Center & Brooklyn Room is a display of artifacts, press clippings, handwritten mail, an actual Tesla light bulb, and a bust of Tesla himself.

Take a closer look at period-correct hotel items from the 1930s & 1940s while Tesla lived at the New Yorker in room 3327. It’s a very abbreviated exhibit but is also accompanied by another hall of photos & other historical moments including politician appearances, musical performances, and special advertisements… all while an authentic recording of CBS Radio during World War II is played through the sound system as it did in the hotel’s terrace room as well as to the entire U.S. & its troops overseas. Check out this free exhibit while it’s still on view at the hotel!
