GREASE THE POLES because the Philadelphia Eagles won against the Kansas City Chiefs 40-22 in Super Bowl LIX on February 9, 2025! It was a memorable 4 hours at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, complete with jazzy renditions of ‘America the Beautiful’ & ‘The Star-Spangled Banner’, an Apple Music Halftime Show with Kendrick Lamar, and almost an hour’s worth of some of this year’s most expensive advertisements!
Even higher than 2024’s advertising cost, it was about $8 million for a 30-second spot in 2025 and the commercials for Super Bowl LIX were certainly chock-full of big names, big brands, and big laughs. The Eagles took the SB win today but we’re here, of course, to rewatch some of the winning commercials. Whether you already watched them live on TV or you haven’t seen a single second, we’ve got you covered! So here they are, in order of airing:
1. DunKings 2 feat. Ben Affleck, Casey Affleck, Jeremy Strong, Bill Belichick
How do you follow up on last year’s ad with Ben Affleck & Matt Damon? With Ben doubling down, of course! You can even spot Jay & Silent Bob (and maybe a slight dig at a certain green coffee company).
2. Doritos
It’s quick, it’s simple, it’s a chip commercial! Can’t go wrong with a wacky Doritos ad!
3. Michelob ULTRA Hustle
It may seem like a wholesome pickleball commercial featuring Willem Dafoe & Catherine O’Hara, but this ad has an ULTRA twist! If you want some extra laughs, peruse the comments section.
4. A Century of Cravings (Uber Eats)
This ad had me invested! Matthew McConaughey dives into a football & food “conspiracy theory”. With appearances by Martha Stewart, Kevin Bacon, Charli XCX, Greta Gerwig, and others, this is easily an unforgettable Super Bowl ad!
5. Ram Trucks with Goldilocks & the 3 Trucks
What Glen Powell oversaturation? Just when you thought you had enough of him, he’s back with a great commercial with Ram! A fun take on Goldilocks & the 3 Bears, this ad couldn’t have been made for anyone else but Glen.
It was tougher than most years to narrow the list down to 5! Can’t wait for next year’s Super Bowl!
