“Legends of Sport” is a Sotheby’s annual collection of sports memorabilia auctions comprised of coveted rarities from basketball, football, soccer, and beyond. For a limited time, over 80 iconic pieces are on view at Sotheby’s New York including a Michael Jordan signed game-worn rookie jersey from 1984 (the only game worn photomatched rookie jersey from Jordan to publicly surface):

Truly a once in a lifetime opportunity, sports fans & pop culture enthusiasts alike have the chance to see millions of dollars’ worth of unbelievable collectibles under one roof… with auctions already live for these lots & many more online!

In addition to the exhibition’s “Dawn of an Era” for Michael Jordan are the sections: “Origins of the Mamba” (above) for Kobe Bryant’s rookie debut jersey (above), “NBA Auctions” for various basketball items, “Timeless Titans” for 6 graded legendary sports cards, “Court Classics” (below) featuring 33 pairs of classic sneakers, and “Important Sports Memorabilia” for everything else… like a 1982 Wayne Gretzky signed hockey stick, Tom Brady & Patrick Mahomes game-used footballs, and 2018 Roger Federer signed tennis gear!

From a Steph Curry & Klay Thompson signed 2016 NBA All-Star Game basketball to a beautiful LeBron James Nike x Hasbro Monopoly Set, every item has a prominent place in sports history. And although most lots were labeled with an estimated value, some did not such as the 6 “Timeless Titans” graded cards on display:

These were truly grail-worthy! We’re talking about a Michael Jordan signed game-worn jersey patch card, a 1916 Babe Ruth rookie card, an Alexander Ovechkin signed rookie patch, and even a PSA 10 triple auto of Kobe/LeBron/Jordan! But hurry in because this exhibition will only be around until March 25, 2025.

Sotheby’s New York is located at 1334 York Ave. New York, NY 10021. Exhibition hours are 10am-5pm on March 21-22 & March 24-25, and 1pm-5pm on March 23.
