An immersive exhibit at Genesis House New York, “The Forest Within” is a reimagined Korean forest using both physical and digital art. In partnership with floral artist Jeff Leatham, the exhibit also features real flowers to further enhance the blending of physical & digital design. But ultimately this Gwyneth Paltrow-narrated experience is intended to encourage serenity, wellness, and harmony with nature as you journey through its various environments.
From May 9 to June 29, 2025, Genesis House’s lower level was transformed into an oasis of greenery. As participants stepped onto the main ambient pathway, they were greeted by projections of water, light, and other atmospheric movements where, at one point, it even felt as if you were ethereally sailing away!
Though simple in nature (pun intended), this limited-time installation was dreamy, thought-provoking, and a great way to take a breather, offering a way to step back from the hustle & bustle of New York City. And to top it all off, the upper level Genesis House Restaurant even had a special menu with reimagined flavors, inspired by the forests of Korea, to complement the Forest Within experience.
