See Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel murals like never before! Now on view at New Jersey’s Garden State Plaza, Sistine Chapel: The Exhibition features 34 life-size frescoes that recreate Michelangelo’s iconic works from Rome, up close, and meticulously reproduced. Experience masterpieces such as “The Creation of Adam”, “The Separation of Light from Darkness”, and “The Creation of the Sun, Moon, and Planets”.
No need to look up at the ceiling! At the exhibition, all of the art is displayed at eye level for easy viewing, paired with informational panels that clearly indicate where each fresco is located within the original mural, along with descriptions and QR codes for the included audio guide (available in multiple languages). Feel free to go at your own pace while looking through the depictions of the sibyls & prophets (above), key Genesis / Old Testament moments, the ancestors of Christ, and concluding with “The Last Judgement” (below), which Michelangelo added to the Chapel’s altar wall years after completing the ceiling.
Get as close as you’d like, snap plenty of photos, and take it all in while you can! All the while various requiems and chorales fill the halls to set the mood. It’s the perfect immersive experience for those who can’t make the trip to Italy.
This limited-time exhibition in New Jersey will run Wednesday through Sunday until July 5, 2026 with timed entry tickets and limited VIP options that include a souvenir guide & anytime entry.
