On January 20, 2024, Dewey’s Comic City celebrated a Grand Reopening and an exciting return to its original hometown of Madison, NJ! Doors opened at 10am at its new location of 6 Green Village Rd., with special guest artist appearances by Lee Weeks, Chris Campana, and Fernando Ruiz.
The new & improved Dewey’s Comic City is reminiscent of old-fashioned cartoonist studios, complete with the use of brick & wood decor and even a classroom in the back area for both adult & kid art classes! (The classes for adults will be taught by Anthony Marques, owner of Dewey’s Comic City and The Kubert School in Dover, NJ.)
Dewey’s is very cozy with plenty of space for the comics & collectibles for sale, with dedicated sections for recent releases, back issues, kids & manga, and trade paperbacks & hardcovers. On top of all of that, the entire shop is covered wall-to-wall with original art and signed art prints… so comic art lovers should definitely keep their eyes peeled to see what they’ll come across!
And not only were the guest artists sketching & signing all afternoon, but a Lee Weeks sketch was even being raffled off to a lucky customer! What an incredible way to commemorate this special occasion!
The entire place was absolutely abuzz with excitement to interact with all three artists (above: Lee Weeks, Chris Campana, Fernando Ruiz) and to be immersed in this one of a kind comic book store located at 6 Green Village Rd., Madison, NJ 07940.
