New Jersey’s Monmouth Trading Cards & Collectibles celebrated the Grand Opening of their new store in Wall, NJ with an all-day event on February 10, 2024. Festivities included a trade night, complimentary pizza & pasta from Attilio’s Pizzeria of Wall, a free signing with Super Bowl champ & former Rutgers star Michael Burton… and, of course, all the trading cards that Monmouth Cards has to offer:
This location in Wall now marks three Monmouth Card stores (with their flagship in Oakhurst and their secondary shop in East Brunswick), each with their own unique product selection. But during the Grand Opening event, fans were able to feast their eyes on various trading cards including products from Topps, Upper Deck, and Panini like sports hobby packs & boxes, high-end boxes, and budget singles… as well as non-sports cards like blaster boxes, decks, and bundles from Pokemon, Disney Lorcana, and Star Wars.
You’ll also come across the ever popular mystery Slab Kings & mystery Hit Kings, Monmouth Cards brand encased raw singles, and an extraordinary wall of graded cards (above) featuring over a thousand slabs categorized by football, baseball, basketball, miscellaneous sports, and Pokemon. There’s even a section for “Jewels” such as graded autographs, relic patches, numbered hits like 1/1’s, and a highly sought after 1986 Fleer Michael Jordan for nearly $5,000!
The highlight of the day was definitely the 2-4pm appearance by NFL’s Michael Burton (courtesy of Pro Athletes Direct), who was signing anything & everything from trading cards to jerseys. Monmouth Cards even offered limited edition cards, footballs, and photo ops for an additional fee.
