“Water for Elephants” is Broadway’s newest musical at Imperial Theatre NYC based on the 2006 novel of the same name by Sara Gruen. Bringing to life the vivid energy of circus aesthetics & performances, it’s unlike other Broadway shows based on the spectacular acrobatics alone! This unique musical is written by PigPen Theatre Co., directed by Jessica Stone, choreographed by Shana Carroll & Jess Robb, and conducted by Elizabeth Doran… with even more fantastic creatives behind the scenes to make “Water for Elephants” a show-stopper that shouldn’t be missed!
First Preview was an 8pm show on February 24, 2024 and was full of excitement as the ensemble delivered electrifying performances through song & dance. Leading the way are Grant Gustin, Isabelle McCalla, Gregg Edelman, Paul Alexander Nolan, Stan Brown, Joe De Paul, Sara Gettelfinger, Wade McCollum, and 22 others in the company… 17 of whom are making their Broadway debut, including Grant Gustin!
It’s an innovative intertwining of captivating storytelling, jaw-dropping circus acts, stunning set pieces, immersive visuals, and multiple genres of music! And such a thrilling First Preview which also included special gifts for the audience (courtesy of Fahlo), notable shoutouts concluding the show, and, of course, a standing ovation!
“Water for Elephants” is a two-act musical with a runtime of approximately 2 hours 30 minutes, and a 15 minute intermission. Now through September 8, visit the W4E website for tickets, information, and the official online shop.
