The 2nd annual KubieCon (aka The Kubert School Comic Con) returned to the Dover, NJ school on July 27, 2024 with dozens of comic vendors and creators. From 10am-5pm you could shop for books with Elite Comic Sales, pick up rare variants from Comic Collision, score dollar deals from Dewey’s Comic City (below), and other local sellers:
Co-sponsored by NJ Comic Book Shows, this year’s KubieCon also had over 20 artists including names like Lee Weeks, Fernando Ruiz, Tom Mandrake, Ben Caldwell, Chris Campana, V Ken Marion, and Sid VenBlu… plus other Kubert School faculty & alumni (full list here)!
For only $5 admission (with half of the proceeds going towards a special scholarship fund), it’s the perfect opportunity to enjoy a comic con at a fraction of a “comic con” ticket price. Meet up-and-coming creators, discover new styles of art, take home some originals, and even partake in a no-minimum-bid auction which also benefits the scholarship fund! CGC Facilitator Collectible Conservancy was also available for all your witness & grading needs, in case you were getting any artist sketches or signatures:
