The BX Anime & Comic Expo returned for its second show, bringing the best in anime & comics to the Bronx! On August 3, St. Helena’s Roman Catholic Church (Bronx, NY) was packed wall-to-wall with special guests, vendors, artists, and eager fans, too. Hosted by Lone Wolf Comics & Yasu Collectibles, the event ran from 10am-5pm and gave back to the community with affordable admission (just $10 at the door, $20 for Early Bird with a swag bag, plus other discounts!), a carnival, and even an after-party!

At the event you could shop from an assortment of incredible anime & pop culture collectibles such as Funko Pops, statues & action figures, trading cards, and tons of comic books from vendors like Street Side Anthony, Saber Rose, Subzero 7 Comics, and other local fan favorite dealers who were carrying key issues, graded slabs, and even bargain books. If you planned on getting comics signed by any comic creators on-site, JJL Collectibles was ready to assist with CGC Signature Series witnessing services! Meet artists like Keith Williams, Jeff Brennan, George Vega, and Sid VenBlu, who were sketching, signing, and selling art all day long.

You might even want to get comics or other memorabilia signed by the special guests. This year’s guests included Travis Artz, Ryan Andes, Laurie Hymes, Emily Cramer, Brett Azar, Jen Silverman, Phil Eichinger, and Nicholas Leung. For an extra fee, snag an autograph, a selfie, or maybe something exclusive from their booth… You never know!

But BX Anime & Comic Expo also featured other amazing attractions that were included with admission: free gaming provided by JQ Video Games (above), a cosplay contest, lightsaber performances by Rogue Alliance, an appearance by the 501st Legion, WWX Wrestling matches, karaoke, and photo op backdrops which were perfect for friends, families, and every kind of cosplayer (check out this fantastic Demon Slayer cosplay team-up, below)… all while geeky music was playing everywhere, thanks to DJ Juandizimo & Rich Green.

All this and so much more at the BX Anime & Comic Expo! If you’re in the Bronx or its surrounding communities and want an anime / comic con experience without paying those big convention prices, definitely check out the next BX Anime & Comic Expo.
