To celebrate the 25th anniversary of Digimon Adventure, Toei Animation & Japan Society in New York City held a one-night-only screening of Digimon Adventure: Last Evolution Kizuna (2020) on October 16, 2024. Hosted by Justin Rojas, the film was given a special introduction by honored guest Hiromi Seki, Toei Animation producer & the film’s supervisor.
Aside from the heartfelt film, which was shown in the Society’s Lila Acheson Wallace Auditorium, there were interactive experiences in the main foyer including a red carpet photo op against a 25th Anniversary backdrop, as well as Digimon product displays provided by Bandai Tamashii Nations.
Strike a pose with Tai, Agumon, and their DigiDestined friends. Snap a picture of the latest Digimon collectibles. And even take home complimentary gifts: a promotional card from the Digimon Liberator TCG and a copy of Digimon Comic which is a sampler of several issues that can be found on Digimon Web.
Whether you play the Digimon card game or hadn’t watched Digimon since the ’90s, it was a memorable event for all fans of Digimon! Digimon Adventure: Last Evolution Kizuna is now available on Blu-ray and is also available on Apple TV. It is rated G with a running time of 94 minutes.
