Big Apple Comic Con‘s holiday event returned to the iconic New Yorker Hotel for one day only on November 23 with dozens of comic book vendors, special guests, and plenty of things to see & do! This is a convention for both old school & new school fans alike, whether you’re looking for graded modern comics or rarer vintage pulps… not to mention other collectibles like trading cards, action figures, and Funko Pops.

Running from 10am-7pm (with VIP entry at 9am), BACC Holiday Con featured guests (below) like Anthony Forrest, John O’Hurley, and voice actor Marc Thompson, as well as a slew of popular comic book creators who amassed their own crowds of fans! We’re talking about names like Howard Chaykin, Al Milgrom, Joe Staton, Keith Williams, Mark Texeira, Sean Chen, Brian Kong, Nik Virella, Billy Tucci, Amy Chu, Paris Cullins, and many more. It’s the perfect opportunity to meet your influences and pick up and autograph or two (prices may vary), with a CGC Facilitator on-site to boot!

Plus even more artists & writers filling up an impressive Artist Alley (below). Discover local indie creators, support up & coming projects, and even walk away with some original art! Commission a brand new piece or find something pre-drawn, but either way you’ll find amazing art at BACC:

Meanwhile, there’s always something going on inside the various event spaces – from cosplay contests to Q&As, it’s a great way to take a break from exploring the con and take part in some unforgettable experiences along the way like Overpower Adventures’ trading card game tournaments, Fears Magazine’s trailers, and a very special panel with Al Kahn (below), the 4Kids Entertainment producer known for introducing Pokemon to the U.S., who was presented with BACC’s first annual pop culture award:

It’s a fairly cozy show all around without all of the hustle & bustle of larger conventions, and stays true to its roots of being a comic-focused event. And even though it’s a 1-day show, Big Apple Comic Con’s Holiday Con has much to offer from beginning to end, with lots of nooks & alcoves filled with even more! So be sure to watch for signage, check their page for updates, and have fun at the next one which is already scheduled for November 22, 2025.
