Pokemon GO Fest is an annual in-person event for the popular augmented reality mobile game Pokemon GO, where fans from around the world have the opportunity to travel to three cities and celebrate all things Pokemon GO! This year Osaka, Japan (May 29-June 1), Jersey City, USA (June 6-8), and Paris, France (June 13-15) are hosts to these exclusive experiences which feature event-only gameplay, real life Galar region habitats, meet & greets, an official merchandise store, and so much more!

Jersey City’s Liberty State Park provided a beautiful backdrop complete with the Statue Of Liberty & New York City skyline. Catch region-specific Pokemon in the app, complete research tasks, look for costumed Pikachu & Falinks spawns, and join various Raids for Zacian & Zamazenta (with a chance for a location-based background) as you make your way through four immersive habitats.

Each habitat offered something special: play skill games to win team swag like wristbands, pins, and luggage tags at “Carnival Grounds” (above), feast your eyes on larger-than-life lure modules at “Mechanical Marvels”, compete in the Battle Ground at “Noble Fields” for a chance to walk away with an exclusive GO Fest pin, and go for the gold with a photo op at “Sunken Treasure”. You’ll even encounter giant inflatables of Pikachu, Charizard, Eevee, Snorlax, and Venusaur along the way, perfect for photo ops!

Then show off your team pride by heading over to Team Lounges for Mystic, Instinct, and Valor where fans participate in trivia, trades, and ultimately walk away with even more team merch! And as if that weren’t already enough, check out the Community Ambassadors tent for more information on local events, meet notable trainers (like JTGily, JesseRachael, and others), get a signed GO Fest postcard from Ting Tey & Joe Suen (two of the game’s visual designers), and even snap a selfie with Eevee & Pikachu!

Each ticket to GO Fest includes a morning or afternoon session to play at the park & in the city, but feel free to upgrade your experience with add-ons, the Global experience from June 28-29, or Pokemon Center merch pre-ordered for pick-up! But don’t worry if you don’t pre-order because there’s still a nice selection of collectibles on the day-of: we’re talking about apparel, enamel pins, and plenty of plushies.

Pokemon GO Fest is an experience like no other. From exciting music playing throughout the park to actual PokeStops to sit & charge your devices, it’s the closest thing to stepping into the world of Pokemon!

Stay tuned on the official GO Fest site for 2026 dates and in the meantime check out our photo gallery from Jersey City, as well as our recap video below:
