The first CGC JSA Open House & Buying Event was held on January 13 at the JSA Office in Parsippany, NJ. In partnership with authorized dealer Boone Enterprises, this 11am-3pm event gave collectors the chance to not only directly submit collectibles to CGC & JSA for authentication & grading, but also to meet Craig Boone, purchase some signed memorabilia, or possibly sell pieces from their own collections.
CGC & JSA were accepting submissions for trading card games (TCGs), sports cards, non-sports cards, and collectible coins. This meant that pack-pulled autograph cards could get graded, while on-card signatures could be verified with “JSA Autograph Authentication” for an additional fee. Collectors also used this opportunity to submit (or pick up) bulky item orders: sports collectibles, framed pieces, and other non-encapsulated memorabilia.
