Celebrating 30 Years of Pokémon

2026 marks 30 years of Pokémon, launching a yearlong “What’s Your Favorite” campaign that kicked off on Super Bowl Sunday with a one-minute ad… their first since the 20th anniversary commercial in 2016. Inside their immersive booth at Toy Fair 2026, Pokémon unveiled a wide variety of ways to celebrate both the upcoming Pokémon Day (February 27th) and the brand’s 30th anniversary, whether you play the Trading Card Game (TCG) & video games, or collect plushies & toys.

On display were Pikachu’s Sweet Delivery Plush, Pokémon Friends Plush, Pokémon Natures Plush Key Chains, Soda Pop Plush, and Sitting Cuties, all available now. But there was also a preview of the new Lil’ Friends Plush Key Chains (available beginning February 20) and the Furret Bowling Plush Set (available beginning April 1).

Also coming this Spring is Pokémon Pokopia, a Ditto-centric video game exclusively on Nintendo Switch 2. Ditto fans will be thrilled to spot him on the Pokémon Center’s Natures Bath Towel and in many Pokémon Center exclusive plush releases, as well.

Pokémon and LEGO will be collaborating for the first time this year, debuting three highly anticipated sets: Pikachu & Poké Ball, Eevee, and a triple Kanto starter set featuring Venusaur, Charizard, and Blastoise… one of LEGO’s largest ever display sets. Stay tuned for our video to see Pikachu!

And, of course, we can’t forget the TCG! In addition to last month’s Pokémon Day Collection, fans can look forward to the First Partner Illustration Collection beginning March 20, along with the “Opening Scene” Collection which depicts the opening scene of the original Pokémon Red and Pokémon Green video games. Featuring Game Boy-inspired graphics of Gengar & Nidorino, this release includes a playmat, double deck box, card sleeves, and collectible pin.
