The Time Shop: The Gift Of Together Time (NYC Pop-Up By Chick-fil-A)

Something we all can use more of this holiday season is something that doesn’t necessarily fit in a stocking or under a tree… It’s more time! But for a limited time (no pun intended), you can give someone a little more “Together Time”, thanks to a New York City pop-up by Chick-fil-A.

Together with their short animated film, The Time Shop is like a glimpse of the North Pole, complete with snacks (milkshakes & cookies), decorations, and a special station to create a custom card where you designate time for a special activity with someone of your choosing. Some examples include “8 hours of teaching you to ice skate”, “4 hours of karaoke”, or “2 hours to try that new pizza place”.

There are even professional calligraphers on duty to help you create these special cards! (Plus a beautiful red & gold envelope!)

But before you get to this special “Giving Time” room, there are a few stops along the way!

In fact, the experience begins before you even step foot into the Time Shop with windowed displays like what you would find at Macy’s Herald Square. Then as you register at the front desk, you’ll receive a special wristband which can be tapped with every photographer so you can capture all of your favorite moments. These photos & videos will be e-mailed to you upon completion of the Time Shop experience.

As you step through the gear tunnel like young Sam does in the animated film, you’re transported into the rest of the Time Shop, starting with an interactive wall of cuckoo clocks, Christmas trees, snowmen, and digital mailboxes.

Next, you’ll discover the first room of “Time”… “Snack Time”! There’s additional seating in this room as well as a photo op with a life-size gingerbread house! And though there are no Chick-fil-A meals offered in this pop-up, there are peppermint chocolate chip milkshakes and chocolate chunk cookies (delivered by choo-choo train) to snack on!

So what are other “Times” are there?

“Play Time” features multiple ways for you to have fun with your loved ones: a jumbo snowflake Connect Four, a build-your-own Snowman area, and another photo op.

“Story Time” features giant books, a cozy nook, and a secret area inside the grandfather clock just like in the animated film!

The last area of the pop-up is “Giving Time” where you customize your special cards but be sure to take it all in before heading over! Chick-fil-A did such an amazing job transforming the space to really transport you elsewhere. The holiday decorations were beautiful and are photo worthy alone.

The Time Shop is absolutely free (but RSVP’s are recommended) and is located at 105 Wooster Street New York, NY 10012. It’s open now through December 17th (minus Sundays) from 11:00am-7:00pm. If you’re not in the New York City area, not to worry! Chick-fil-A has created a website where you can gift someone “Together Time” with your own custom card.
