Toys R Us Grand Opening at Macy’s Herald Square 2022

Toys R Us returned to New York City today with a Grand Opening inside Macy’s Herald Square on 34th Street in Manhattan. Located on the 7th floor of the iconic department store, this all-new location features all the things you loved about being a “Toys R Us Kid”: selections from your favorite toy lines like Marvel, Star Wars, Pokemon (yes, they had cards!), Transformers, LOL Surprise, My Little Pony, Disney Princesses, Funko, Play-Doh, Nerf, Fisher Price, Nickelodeon toys… Even ones you don’t get to see too often like Harry Potter, Minecraft, Sonic the Hedgehog, and Super Mario Bros. The list goes on & on!

The celebration included festivities and activities on top of the already existing “Ready Set Play” stations set up with blocks, Fisher Price sets, Lego Duplo, Jenga, Potato Heads, Kinetic Sand, and even Imaginarium train sets. Plus an interactive Herald Square play area with more free-play toys and a playground-esque fort of the Washington Square Arch.

Geoffrey was on-site for high-fives & photos but on a regular day you can also snap a pic with all your favorite brands. Walk down a Barbie pink carpet, pose with Playmobil or Paw Patrol characters, sit “inside” a giant Hot Wheels or Thomas the Train, and plenty of stationary Geoffrey statues for the memories! Not to mention incredible displays from Hot Wheels, a huge Barbie dream house, and a couple from Lego too: a giant Statue of Liberty and a Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade diorama featuring 336 Lego minifigures!

And just in time for the holidays, Toys R Us is all stocked up with themed Geoffrey dolls, Macy’s exclusive Funko Pops, ornaments, and a Toys R Us branded piggy bank called “My #ToysRUsKid Fund”. You’ll find it all at the Toys R Us in New York City located at 151 W 34th St. New York, NY 10001.
