Hot Wheels Legends Tour 2024 (Philadelphia)

The Hot Wheels Legends Tour returns for another year of celebrating the hobby and searching for the next custom vehicle to be immortalized as a 1:64 scale Hot Wheels toy, made available for sale in over 150 countries! In partnership with Mobil 1 & Walmart, each of the 16 global tour stops will result in a finalist, ultimately leading up to the Grand Finale event later this Fall. On June 28, Philadelphia was the 4th stop of the tour, with over a hundred cars on display at the Walmart in Warrington, PA:

From 8am-12pm, spectators had a chance to see some of the best cars in the region. A wide assortment of makes was represented: Chevy, Dodge, Ford, Jeep, Porsche, Ferrari, Hummer, Acura, Volkswagen… and even themed designs including Pink Panther, Star Wars, Mario Kart, and a Pixar-esque car. There were even cars from the Netflix series Hot Wheels Let’s Race like the 2011 Bone Shaker and 2003 Deora II, as well as Hot Wheels Legends like Dirtmeister 944, Twin Mill, and Gas Monkey Corvette (below). From Hot Rods to Camaros, you’ll not only be able to feast your eyes on beautiful craftmanship but talk about these exceptional builds with the owners, too!

It was a huge turnout in Philly and fans were taking pictures by the giant backdrop, entering the $5 raffle (proceeds go to the Children’s Miracle Network hospitals) to win a 2022 Boulevard Factory set, browsing the gallery of premium & limited edition models, shopping the exclusive $35 Legends Tour bundle containing a limited edition Volkswagen Kool Kombi, and spending time in the play areas filled with tracks, playsets, and remote control monster trucks.

Meanwhile, the Hot Wheels Judges were carefully evaluating vehicle entrants based on the criteria of creativity, authenticity, and garage spirit. And the finalist was… Rusty Nutz of Long Island, NY! One onlooker even commented, “If I saw his car on the road, I’d think it was a Hot Wheels!”. Congratulations, Rusty!

The Hot Wheels Legends Tour has grown tremendously since it started in 2018. It’s a fantastic way to get up close & personal with some of the biggest enthusiasts in the hobby and every Hot Wheels fan should try to experience it at least once! The next stop will be Detroit, MI but be sure to check the full schedule to see if they’re coming to a city near you.
