Pokemon GO Fest is the annual multi-day celebration of the augmented reality mobile game Pokemon Go, with in-person events hosted by three cities this summer: Sendai (Japan), Madrid (Spain), and the penultimate GO Fest returning to New York City from July 5-7, 2024! Players can purchase digital tickets for access to event exclusive gameplay and have the opportunity to step into real-world Pokemon experiences.
Hosted by the app’s developer, Niantic Labs, and The Pokemon Company, GO Fest makes you feel like a real-life Pokemon trainer as you travel through themed habitats like Poolside Cabana (above), Rugged Quarry, Ghostly Woods, and Brilliant Skies… with dedicated Pokemon spawning for each region. And as you work on completing in-game research tasks, you’ll not only encounter surprises in the app but all over Randall’s Island Park as well:
Share a magical moment with Eevee or Pikachu, win prizes at Team Lounges among fellow Mystic, Valor, and Instinct members, meet notable trainers (Poke Daxi, Swaggron333, AwesomeAdam, JTGily, ZoeTwoDots, and others), and pick up signed art cards from Pokemon Go artists (Saro Orfali, Max Hu, and Jason Marino) who are responsible for the app’s start screens, item designs, and animations!
All the while, Ultra Beast raids were happening across Randall’s Park Island as well as the rest of New York City, with chances to come across shiny variants. And in case you don’t find one, you can trade with one of the tens of thousands of players attending GO Fest all weekend long! Not to mention special event PokeStops, the return of Battle Ground & Niantic Neighborhood, and, of course, the official Pokemon Center merchandise store so that you can walk away with amazing souvenirs & mementos to remember the event.
