A new expansion for Pokémon TCG is coming soon: Mega Evolution – Pitch Black, which features new Mega Evolution cards for Darkrai, Zeraora, Chandelure, and Excadrill. Officially releasing at participating shops worldwide beginning July 17, 2026, trainers can get a head start on their Pitch Black collections with a Build & Battle box by joining a prerelease tournament at their local Play! retail stores. With 1 of 4 exclusive promo cards, a ready-to-play deck, and 4 booster packs, you’ll be on your way to finding some exciting cards including 6 mind-blowing special illustration rares.
Otherwise, on July 17, be on the lookout for an assortment of booster packs, Booster Bundles, Elite Trainer Boxes, and Booster Boxes so that you can start building this 115+ card expansion. And for online players, Pokémon TCG Live will have Mega Evolution – Pitch Black starting July 16, with in-game bonuses when logging into the game.
As seen in the Mega Dimension DLC for the Pokémon Legends: Z-A video game, these 4 new Megas are also featured on the all-new booster pack artwork. There’s also new Code Card designs and more fantastic card art even on the common cards from familiar artist names, including fan favorite Yuka Morii! And don’t forget to keep your eyes peeled for other popular Pokémon in this set like Morpeko, Goldeen, Slowbro, Wailord, and more.
