New Jersey Collector Fest returned for their Fall edition on November 30, 2019 in a new venue at the Hasbrouck Heights Hilton. Boasting an artist alley of nearly 20 creators and a hall full of vendors carrying everything from vintage comics to modern collectibles, New Jersey Collector Fest brought a ton of deals into Thanksgiving weekend.

As a follow-up to Collectorfest 2, the new venue offered a great space for fans to enjoy the vendor hall & artist alley without having to squeeze through tight areas. And products could be displayed even higher for easier viewing & shopping:
Like their Spring show, some of the collectibles that can be found at New Jersey Collectorfest include comic books (key issues, first appearances, slabbed books), vintage toys, plushies, Funko Pops, and even amazing custom action figures!
Ken from Monster Mash had some unbelievable Marvel Cinematic Universe figures that licensed company Hasbro has never put out, as well as custom Star Wars figures based on concept art and now-Legends material:
But whether you’re looking for old school Transformers or a hard to find Lego Minifigure, you’re bound to find something you’re looking for at New Jersey Collector Fest. In fact, I saw a lot of happy toy hunters walk out with their latest finds & treasures!
Plus there were so many talented artists offering unique pieces of art that you could take home. Artists like Rags Morales, Paris Cullins, Keith Williams, Enrique Lopez, and Christian Espiritusanto were busy sketching up commission requests for fans all day.
Here, Will Torres is working on a special Spider-Man sketch cover based on Todd McFarlane’s iconic art.
I was able to pick up a very cool “Baby Yoda” (who is, of course, trending now because of the new Star Wars series The Mandalorian on Disney+) original from artist Peat Vazquez of Fat Guy Inc.
And while you could commission artists at Collector Fest, many will also have already finished originals, prints, sketch covers, and even comics they’ve worked on too! At a show like this, it’s so great to be able to chat with the creators & vendors onsite, which is a lot of what Collector Fest is all about – to be able to personally connect with fellow fans & collectors in this hobby/industry!
At this particular show I was able to spend time talking all things Transformers with IDW Transformers / Hasbro TCG artist Dan Khanna, who signed my Starscream trading card from Wave 1 of the Transformers card game.
I also enjoyed talking to special celebrity guest Tony Daniels, who is a voice actor known for Gambit from the 90’s X-Men animated series and the Canadian voice of Tony the Tiger! Tony took time to greet each of his fans and personalized autographs with a special remark or catchphrase from his character work.
So if you’ve never been to a New Jersey Collector Fest before, stay tuned for their next show announcement in the Spring! It’s always a fun walk down memory lane as you treasure hunt for your favorite childhood collectibles and the art is always topnotch, too!
