Black Friday Sports Card & Comic Con 2021 (Our Cards & Collectibles)

After all the turkey was digested and the Thanksgiving festivities were winding down, Our Cards & Collectibles hosted a 2-day Black Friday comic con event on November 26 & 27 featuring 30+ tables of trading cards, collectibles, and comic books.

Held at the Brunswick Square Mall in East Brunswick, NJ during mall hours, the show was an ideal spot to kick off collectibles shopping for the holidays with a diverse selection of Pokemon cards, sports memorabilia, Funko Pops, graded comic book slabs, cels, and even original art!

Tables were set up in the north wing by JCPenney, as well as further down the hall inside a vacant storefront. The Comic Con portion (above) showcased 4 artists: Will Torres, Glenn Whitmore, Doug Baron, and Michael Parla. Each were offering a variety of options for their art: published comic books, art prints, sketches, and even an opportunity to commission them for a custom piece you could take home! Will Torres, who recently was an exclusive variant artist for The Boys: Dear Becky #1, was busy working on these types of commissions:

Many of the vendors were buying collections and accepting trades at the show, which is very helpful if you want to unload some of your own collectibles to fund your next purchase! Cards were heavily represented at this show, with a huge presence of Pokemon products (including all the latest exclusives and Celebrations & Fusion Strike sets) and high value sports cards as well. This 2-day event was a great look at what Our Cards & Collectibles could do on top of their usual monthly 1-day card shows. So be sure to check out their social media for updates on their next event!
