Following the success of their debut in November 2021, the BX-Comic Book Show returned for an even bigger & better event on March 5! Held at the Grand Slam Banquet Hall in the Bronx, the absolutely free-to-attend show featured over 30 vendors & artists as well as an appearance from Gotham actor Phil Eichinger who was signing various memorabilia free of charge!
From 11am-5pm, fans were scouring the hall for the best deals on raw & graded comic books, action figures, trading cards, and other collectibles. The show’s hosts Yasu Collectibles & Lone Wolf Comics, along with NRG Comics, Kyle’s Comics, Street Side Anthony Comics, A-G Comics, and several others were displaying the best of the best: key issues, first appearances, high-grade CGC slabs, and so much more.
Plus with CGC Facilitator Captured Collectibles on-site, you were able to submit books for all your blue & yellow label needs, which was also handy for any signatures or sketches you were obtaining at the show itself! With over a dozen comic book artists tabling at the BX-Comic Book Show, you could walk away with an up & coming indie comic or even an original art sketch cover, custom drawn for you at the show!
Some of the artists at this Spring edition were: Keith Williams, Henry Martinez, Joe St. Pierre, Ben Harvey, George Vega, Eddie Avila, Criss Madd, Carlos de Oleo, Will Torres, and Jeff Brennan. And on top of the various comics they’ve worked on, you could find art prints, trading cards, and even original comic art pages!
More than a free comic book show, it was apparent that this gathering was one that focused on community. From the vendors to the cosplay, there was just a constant outpouring of support shown for one another which amounted to an amazing time for all in attendance! The show organizers hope to put on a followup event in the Summer so be sure to stay up to date with their announcements on social media. In the meantime, here are some photos and video from the BX-Comic Book Show:
