Garden State Comic Fest 2022

After 3 years, Garden State Comic Fest has returned home to Morristown’s Mennen Arena! This is the first GSCF since the pandemic to be back full-force and it was bigger & better than ever! With media guests, artists, vendors, and more, July 9th & 10th were homecoming dates that will never be forgotten.

Between the two rinks (Heroes Hall & Villains Hall) of the Arena, we’re looking at over 200 booths to immerse yourself in the best comic book convention in New Jersey. Some of the notable guests this year included stars of the HBO Max series “Peacemaker” Freddie Stroma (Vigilante/Adrian Chase) and Nhut Le (Judomaster) who were meeting fans all weekend for autographs, photographs, and an amazing Saturday panel complete with Q&A’s and Flamin’ Hot Cheeto’s:

Plus, other guests appeared like singer Tiffany Darwish, bodybuilder-turned-actors Brett Azar & Sid O’Connell, and voice actor Ian James Corlett who got to meet fans of his work as Funimation’s Goku in Dragon Ball Z and as Cheetor in Transformers: Beast Wars!

Not only were fans bringing their own memorabilia for these media guests to sign, but some of the coolest items for the weekend’s featured artists to sign as well! This year’s show welcomed back Walt & Louise Simonson along with a slew of incredible comic book legends and indie creators. Perhaps you’ll want to get your Artist’s Edition Mighty Thor hardcover signed by Walt Simonson… or Star Wars #1 by Howard Chaykin… or get your Graham Nolan-signed Batman #497 witnessed and slabbed, thanks to CGC’s Agents of Slabs on-site… Garden State Comic Fest can make that happen!

It was also a great opportunity to snag some amazing exclusives that are otherwise hard-to-find. The Komic Knights booth hosted artists Marat Mychaels with his own line of “Do You Pooh” books, and Chris Campana (above) who was signing his exclusive variant cover of Frank Frazetta’s Death Dealer. Not to mention the massive list of other artists who brought along their published works, art prints, and original art for sale! With an Artist Alley this epic, it’s impossible to walk out of GSCF without some fantastic art in your hands! So definitely keep your eyes peeled so that you don’t miss anything, especially the unbelievable cosplay:

3D art, etched copper art, comic book collages… on top of the vintage & modern books, action figures, video games, Funko Pops, TCG & tabletop gaming, and all the collectibles you can imagine… Garden State Comic Fest is chock-full of vendors that appeal to every fan. And if you’re hankering for even more, upgrade to a VIP pass for priority access, seating, and a goody bag filled with exclusive swag!

Garden State Comic Fest’s 2022 return was an absolute blast and you’ll definitely want to be a part of the next one! But in the meantime, check out these additional photos as well as a quick video recap of what it’s like inside “New Jersey’s Coolest Comic Con“!
