Collectorcon II (Edison, NJ)

On August 27, Collectorcon returned bigger & better than before! Brought to you by the organizers of Jersey Shore Toy Show, Woodbridge Card Show, and Woodbridge Toy Show, the Garden State’s newest collectibles convention took over the New Jersey Expo Center in Edison for an all-day event featuring hundreds of tables filled with vintage & modern action figures, Funko Pops, comic books, trading cards, Hot Wheels, retro gaming, and so much more!

Following the positive reception of its debut show earlier this year in May, Collectorcon II not only increased its vendor offerings (from 150 tables to over 300) but managed to keep its entry fee at a super affordable $5 General Admission (10am entry) & $10 Early Bird (9am entry)! Fans were literally lining up first thing in the morning, so you’ll definitely want to get to the con early!

At Collectorcon, you’ll find an assembly of the area’s best vendors offering a little bit of everything for all kinds of collectors! Fan favorite sellers like A&A Treasures, Lone Wolf Comics, Toy Topia, Jwongboutique, DSCollectables, and custom display designer Damion Blake of DBlakeMakes:

Damion is just one of the handcrafting artists tabling at the convention… Other incredible art you could walk away with at Collectorcon include custom enamel pins, stitched art, stickers, and (through distributors) prints & posters from comic book artists like Joe Rubinstein, Mostafa Moussa, and George Vega. Not to mention officially licensed movie art, too!

And, of course, all the collectibles you grew up loving and all the collectibles you wished to have owned – all under one roof! We’re talking about vintage classics like GI Joe, Transformers, Masters of the Universe, LEGO, Voltron, vintage comic books, trading cards, Americana… you name it! Plus, a larger modern toy selection than any big box retailer carries today!

Whether it’s the latest release of Hasbro’s Star Wars Black Series or an exclusive item from a comic con last year, you never know what you’ll find at Collectorcon! Eagle-eyed fans were even able to spot fresh Special Delivery Charizard cards and the yet-to-be-released Pokemon set “Lost Origins”! In fact, dozens of vendors were specializing in a variety of trading cards like TCG, sports, entertainment, and all of their graded counterparts from PSA, CGC, Beckett, and other reputable companies.

Graded comics were also very popular at Collectorcon: key issues, first appearances, rare variants, Signature Series slabs… and great deals on raw ungraded comics too! It’s the perfect opportunity to score a complete run on a particular series, or simply to just pick up a cheap book or two for your collection. Either way, there were plenty of vendors to check out for all your comic book needs!

An absolutely amazing event, whatever you collect you’ll find it at Collectorcon! Check out the Photo Gallery for a closer look inside and be sure to stay tuned for announcements on Collectorcon III on their Instagram.
