Happy 10th Anniversary to the BIGGEST show in the smallest state! And what better way to commemorate the one & only Rhode Island Comic Con than with the biggest guest roster and attendee turnout we’ve ever seen at the Amica Mutual Pavilion & Rhode Island Convention Center!

The celebration ran from November 4-6, 2022 with three days of epic programming, art & merch shopping, and special guest meet & greets including celebrities like Jared Padalecki, Alicia Silverstone, Vincent D’Onofrio, and Karate Kid’s very own Ralph Macchio & William Zabka… and over 100 others with credits in television, film, animation, and more! Among them was a Disney reunion with the voice acting talents behind Belle, Ariel, Jafar, Jasmine, and Aladdin:

Year after year Rhode Island Comic Con does not hold back with their guest list! Utilizing every square inch of space possible, the show takes place on two concourses of the Amica Mutual Pavilion, as well as two floors of the Rhode Island Convention Center, resulting in endless opportunities to not only meet the aforementioned celebrities but also some comic book superstars!

The 10th Anniversary Artist Alley hosted legendary artists & writers like David Finch (above), Howard Chaykin, Joe Rubinstein, Rick Leonardi, Jae Lee, and Timothy Zahn… but also some of today’s on-the-rise creators like Chris Campana, Jeremy Clark, and Ian Chase Nichols. Plus dozens of others, both big & small, that specialize in illustration, 3D printing, glass etching, custom apparel, jewelry, lenticular art, and other fascinating crafts like fan-favorite Jackie’s Copper Art with her cheeky & geeky hand-designed copper plaques:

All this to say, Rhode Island Comic Con draws in a huge crowd and if you’re hoping to see everything (or most things) at the convention, you’ll need more than a single day badge… and maybe even the VIP Pass, which has some time-saving perks! But even on a budget with time constraints, you can definitely make the most out of a one-day trip to this amazing con.

You can start with all of the incredible attractions that are absolutely free to experience! We’re talking about free-play arcades & pinball machines, kids activities, live performances, tabletop gaming, screen accurate vehicles like the DeLorean (above), Knight Rider KITT, Jurassic Park Jeep, and 1966 Batmobile… and, of course, some of the best cosplay you’ll ever see!

And there’s a lot more where that came from! On top of the cosplaying attendees roaming the convention, there are opportunities to see a whole slew of costumers at the annual competition, as well as the professional cosplayers in attendance all weekend. Even the charity Star Wars group, the 501st Legion, set up an impressive diorama of sorts. You never know what you’ll see at Rhode Island Comic Con!

And with so many unique vendors exhibiting their products, you never know what you’ll walk away with either. Legos, video games, Pokemon cards, vinyl records, action figures, Squishmallows, magic wands, Funko Pops, and the rows & rows of comic books for sale… you’re bound to leave with a hefty bounty, no matter what hobby you’re into!
