Paramus Food Truck Festival 2020

You know it’s officially summer when Food Truck Festivals start rolling in! And with the area still slowly opening up and trying to understand what the new norm is, the Paramus Food Truck Festival took extra precautions to make sure their summer kickoff event on July 12 was as safe as possible for all who attended.

Hosted by Just Jersey Fest, the Paramus Food Truck Festival was held in the parking lot of Paramus Park Mall with nearly two dozen food trucks, as well as a handful of vendors specializing in jewelry, nail art, toys, and other accessories. And all throughout there was a live DJ playing music and even kids activities available! Admission was only $5 and the distributed wristbands allowed re-entry any time between the festival hours of 11am-7pm which is perfect if you want to come back for Round 2!

As far as safety goes, Paramus Food Truck Festival enforced a strict mask policy and encouraged attendees to eat outside the enclosed festival area to allow additional people to enter. Though there was a limit of 500 people allowed at one time, it didn’t seem to hit that high of a number which added an extra feeling of safety to the event. Additionally, hand washing stations and sanitizers were placed by the entrance, which was very convenient.

Overall, the Paramus Food Truck Festival was a great socially distanced event! Everyone was being respectful and staying safe while having a good time. And with food trucks like Angry Archie’s lobster rolls, Hold My Knots‘ famous garlic knot sliders, Cubano X-Press‘ Cuban sandwiches, and Rescue Rolls‘ gourmet egg rolls, there was a cuisine for almost any palate… with lots of desserts too!
