The Philly Non-Sports Card Show is a trading card event that has celebrated the hobby since the 1980s and its 76th show held from May 21-22, 2022 was no different! Inside Hall E of The Greater Philadelphia Expo Center in Oaks, PA was over 80 tables of all things non-sports cards including vendors, manufacturers, and artists!

Door prizes and giveaways were happening all day (while supplies lasted) and trading card companies like Cryptozoic Entertainment & Rittenhouse Archives displayed upcoming releases like Cryptozoic’s oversized CZX autograph-wardrobe cards and Rittenhouse’s Star Trek: The Next Generation set! Both were also handing out free promo cards from their wide range of licensed properties like Outlander and Doctor Who… so you’d better get into the show early! Plus, so many great deals on some of the hottest collectibles today. We’re talking about hobby boxes, complete sets, autograph cards, wardrobe cards, and even graded cards!

With everything categorized as non-sports, you’re bound to find anything and everything from television/movie cards, TCG (like Pokemon & Yu-Gi-Oh), superhero & comic book cards, and especially Garbage Pail Kids!

On top of being able to meet the legendary Garbage Pail Kids “Adam Bomb” (above), attendees were able to meet GPK artists Chris Meeks, Jeff Zapata, and James Warhola, as well as other artists like Ingrid Hardy, Stephen Blickenstaff, John Detrich, and Mark Pingitore. Pick up their trading cards, buy original art, support their crowdfunding campaigns, or even commission them for a sketch card that could be ready by the end of the show! Ingrid even had copies of her Topps Star Wars Galaxy cards that she had worked on and would even sign them:

And we’re just getting started! Not only were there modern and vintage cards, too (older wax packs, cigarette cards, etc.), but also collectible currency, Hot Wheels, enamel pins, vinyl records, promotional posters, and vintage magazines & comics like Western Stars, Tales from the Crypt, Big Little Books, and hard-to-find Dell (Disney) Silver Age Comics! The Collector Connection was on-site with additional rare consigned collectibles including a CGC 9.8 Clone Wars (the first appearance of Ahsoka Tano) and Fawcett Comics slabs!

Each day of the show was only $10 for admission (with a $1 coupon online) or $15 for both days! We highly recommend this show if you’re a collector of non-sports trading cards and memorabilia. With so many retro & modern treasures to be found here, you’ll be walking away with those final missing pieces, grails, and probably a surprise or two!
