Trading Card Expo by Veteri Productions debuted its new format for their summer event on June 11-12, 2022. Some of the changes made to the latest edition included free admission and the addition of Yu-Gi-Oh card tournaments organized by Luxury Gaming, which consequently decreased the show’s capacity for vendor tables.

While previous Trading Card Expos assembled across two of the Wayne PAL gyms, the summer event simply utilized one of the spaces to host the weekend tournaments, as well as the dozen vendors specializing in sports & non-sports trading cards and supplies. Though the product selection was limited, there was a decent offering of Yu-Gi-Oh cards for sale to help supplement the players entering the games.

Among the vendors at the show were local sellers Heroes & Legends Collectibles, Cards2Go, and IHC Cards. It’s definitely worth a look around if you’re nearby to see if you can score a deal on some sports, Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh, or MetaZoo cards… and some fair pricing on card supplies, too!

The Expo ran from 9am-3pm on Saturday and 9am-2pm on Sunday, with gaming running as long as it takes! Plus, tournament winners were able to walk away with some impressive prizes like a Nintendo Switch OLED, boxed products, playmats, and other merchandise options at the Luxury Gaming booth (entry fees apply).
It’s certainly become a smaller show than other trading card events but keep your eyes peeled for the next Trading Card Expo to see if there are any updates on format, admission fee, or other new features going forward.
