Fan Expo Boston returned to the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center bigger and better than ever from August 12-14! We’re not just talking about fan attendance, but one of their best guest lineups to date including Ewan McGregor, David Tennant, the four Hobbits from The Lord Of The Rings trilogy, a rare gathering of the Smallville trio (Tom Welling, Michael Rosenbaum, Kristin Kreuk), Kevin Smith & Jason Mewes, and so many more television, movie, and anime guests in the Autograph Hall all weekend long.

Fans were blocking out significant amounts of time to line up to meet their favorite celebrities for signatures & photo ops (plus a VIP badge option to “skip” the line)! But not only were there notable media guests but incredible comic book guests as well! Fan Expo events always boast an eclectic range of art styles and this year’s Boston show was no different. Over 200 creators, artists, and writers could be found in Artist Alley including featured guests Joe Quesada & Frank Miller, Comic Sketch Art talent like Donny Cates & Ryan Stegman, and Artist Alliez represented George Vega & Criss Madd.

Go ahead & commission an artist for an original sketch to be done at the show, pick up prints & pre-drawn art, or collect signatures on your favorite books (and even have them slabbed by grading facilitators like Unknown Comics & Captured Collectibles). And with nearly 200 additional booths of vendors & retailers where you could shop for various memorabilia like collectibles, apparel, Lego minifigures, Funko Pops, Pokemon cards… you’re guaranteed to walk away with a nice little haul of goods! Not to mention multiple fan experiences all over the Show Floor like a kid-friendly Family Zone, a Yasso ice cream display, Star Wars’ Boba Fett’s throne & Sabacc card lessons, and retro video games & tournaments:

And as always, Fan Expo was chock-full of amazing panels & programming. Where else can you sit down and listen to Ewan McGregor, partake in trivias & singalongs, attend Q&A sessions, or congregate in intimate fan gatherings of fellow enthusiasts? It’s called Fan Expo for a reason: it’s for the fans! And we can’t forget about all of the fanatic getups we saw:

Boston brought their A-game cosplay! The Massachusetts Ghostbusters (above), the official Star Wars group 501st Legion (of course), and professional cosplayers like Masked Mateo & Rachel Maksy… with tons more casual costumers roaming the show floor! So put on your best outfits and who knows? Maybe you’ll run into a doppelgänger and snap a photo at one of the many themed photo ops like this Batman/Gotham City display:

Fan Expo Boston 2023 is already set for August 4-6, 2023 so be sure to sign up for e-mails and notifications so that you can be one of the first to get tickets to this awesome convention!
